We’ve made several changes to enhance the auction experience, promote fair play, and keep the competition exciting. Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect:
Scheduled Auctions
In V2, auctions will now run at specific times, chosen by the player creating the auction. Auctions will start and end on the hour, making it easier to plan and track the auctions you’re interested in. This change ensures a more structured experience and reduces confusion about end times.
Dynamic Auction Endings
To keep the bidding competitive, auctions will feature an automatic extension if someone places a bid within the final five minutes. In these cases, the auction will extend by an hour to allow other players time to counter-bid. This dynamic ending ensures that last-minute sniping doesn’t unfairly determine the outcome and keeps the process engaging for everyone.
Improved Bid Tracking and Fair Play
One of the most significant changes is how bids are tracked. In V2, if the highest bidder does not have enough funds to pay the final bid amount, the system will automatically award the auction to the next highest bidder who has the funds. This ensures that auctions end fairly and smoothly, without the disruption of unpaid bids.
Why These Changes Matter
These updates are designed to create a more fair, enjoyable, and competitive auction experience. Scheduled start and end times give players better control, the dynamic ending keeps things exciting, and the improved bid tracking ensures smoother transactions.
We can’t wait for you to experience the improved auction system in V2—happy bidding!
